The wanderers return!
We were quite late booking our holiday this year, as it’s been quite a hectic summer. My brother just got married, so we’ve had hen dos, stag dos, dress fittings, nail appointments, hair appointments and goodness knows what else in preparation for the big event!
We’ve had the time for a holiday booked off work for a good while, but just never got round to actually booking anything, partly because we’ve been so busy and partly because we don’t get much time together and some clever person made booking a holiday very stressful – hence why we avoided it for as long as possible 🙂
Three weeks ago, it got to the point of being a real last minute deal, meaning that prices rocketed 😦 after a bit of clever thinking, we booked the flights through the travel company I work for, meaning I got a nice discount for being such a lovely staff member (even the rubbish ones get discount, but never mind) and we booked the hotel separately through the trusty hotels.com. We got a pretty good deal, and have actually ended up at the same hotel we stayed at last year. We’d probably have stayed in a shed somewhere if it meant we could get away for a break :).
So what’s on the agenda while we’re here? Nothing 🙂
This is our 4th time to this area, and this year we came away for a break. We’ve done everything in the area, so we aren’t missing out on anything by spending a week laying by the pool. It may sound really boring, but we’ve been here for 5 days and I’m on my 5th book, and my boyfriend has spent so much time in the pool he’ll be a professional swimmer in no time. Or just a massive prune.
I apologise for having nothing interesting or new to report, but this time I really have been here, seen it, and got several postcards 🙂 When I get home, I’ll put up some hints and tips of things I love in this area, and things that you might wanna avoid…
