This week has been such a muddle and such a drag that I cannot wait to be flying off to Palma next week. In fact, in 8 days I will hopefully be there (Spanish air controllers permitting…) with a cocktail in one hand and some of my favourite Spanish food in the other.
As I was getting ready for bed the other day, I joyfully proclaimed to my boyfriend that ‘this time in 2 weeks we’ll be in Palma!’. Unfortunately, and quite depressingly, I’ve been getting my days all confused this week, and 2 weeks from that point we would have just gotten home. Ah. Never mind, I’ve got just one more week of work to get through before we fly off for a break in the sun!
As the trip looms closer, I’ve been looking at all the things I’d like to do while I’m there. Palma Cathedral is an absolute must, but if anyone has any tips of other cool things to do there, I’d love to hear about it! A trip on the old train to Soller was on the cards, but after reading reviews I’m a little concerned that we might get stranded in Soller and have to fork out for a cab back to Palma.
Something else I’ve found from perusing the blogosphere is something along the lines of a tapas bar crawl called Ruta Martiana. I am definitely looking forward to giving it a try and sampling some delicious pinxos!
To be honest, if we do nothing but visit the Cathedral, eat tapas and lounge by the pool, I won’t consider it a trip wasted – sometimes it’s nice to just relax!
