Travel gifts from Paris!

I love bringing back goodies from my travels to share with people. And the next best thing when I can’t go exploring is when other people bring back goodies for me!

My parents have just returned from a long weekend in Paris to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday. It was a surprise for him, right up to the point they arrived at St Pancras to catch the Eurostar, and he thankfully hadn’t guessed! So when I caught up with them this weekend, I loved hearing about everything they got up to, and it brought back great memories for me.

They were also kind enough to bring back some delicious goodies for myself and my boyfriend. Knowing my love of postcards, they brought back a few postcards for me, but they also brought back these strange biscuit/cookie/sugar slices for us. My dad warned that we’d only really want one at a time, and as we enjoy our lazy Sunday we’ve opened them up to give them a try.

He was right. I like sweet things, but these biscuits are sweet.¬†They are basically just sugar with nuts in them. Still not sure if we like them, but I’m sure we’ll decide by the end of the bag.

These coasters are one of my favourite travel gifts anyone has given me. Simple, yet a lovely reminder of one of my favourite cities every time I have a drink.

Paris drinks coasters with the big landmarks - Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur, Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge and Notre Dame
